Options of sports and physical activities for a person with disabilities - complex physical intervention

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá možnostmi pohybových a sportovních aktivit u jedince s vážným postižením dolních i horních končetin. Teoretická část je věnována problematice získaných postižení v důsledku poranění míchy. Zabývám se mechanismy úrazu a objasňuji následky, které se liší při poranění v různých částech míchy. V další části jsou nastíněny úkoly rehabilitace. V závěru teoretické části jsou navrhnuty sportovní aktivity vhodné pro jedince s kvadruplegií. Praktická část je věnována konkrétnímu jedinci, u kterého jsem provedla vyšetření pohybových funkcí. Na základě těchto výsledků jsme po konzultaci s fyzioterapeutem sestavili a realizovali optimální intervenční plán, který je tvořen pasivním a aktivním cvičením, a v praxi vyzkoušeli navrhované sportovní aktivity ? boccia, lyžování a geocaching.

Abstract:

This Bachelor work is looking into a life of a disable person (individual) with severe disabilities of his upper and lower limbs and his options of physical and sport activities.The theoretical part of this work is dealing with problems of a disability caused by a wound of the spinal cord. I am working with the mechanisms of the injury and clarifying the consequences which differ to different and partial injuries of the spinal cord. This is followed by outlining some tasks and work in a rehabilitation. There are some suggestions of sport activities which are suitable for the individual (person) with the Tetraplegia (quadriplegia) in the conclusion of the theoretical part.The practical part of my work is devoted to a specific individual whom I have been working with and examining his movement functions. On the basis of the results of the examination and consultation with a physiotherapist, we put together an optimal intervention plan which is made up of passive and active exercises and in a real life we have tried these proposed sport activities ? Boccia, skiing and Geocaching.
