Implemantation of the corporate social responsibility concept into the strategic management of small to medium sized enterprises managed by the BSC method

Abstract:

Předkládaná dizertační práce se zabývá tematikou společenské odpovědnosti firem, její implementací do strategického řízení společnosti a vlivem na ekonomickou výkonnost společnosti. Autor si klade za cíl nahlížet na problematiku společenské odpovědnosti firem ne pouze v původním základním teoretickém vymezení, nýbrž v přesazích, které společenská odpovědnost v současném světě může mít, zejména ve smyslu formování pozitivních vztahů se zákazníky, dodavateli a s ostatními "stakeholders", zvyšování hodnoty podniku jako takového a budování "goodwill" společnosti. Cílem dizertační práce je prozkoumat situaci malých a středních podniků na českém trhu z pohledu jejich znalosti a schopnosti implementovat do strategického managementu zásady společensky odpovědného podnikání. Dále na základě výsledků kombinace kvalitativního a kvantitativního výzkumu navrhnout konkrétní metodiku implementace politiky společenské odpovědnosti do strategického řízení těchto firem. Za výchozí metodu strategického řízení podniku, ze které autor v předkládané práci vychází a kterou dále rozvíjí, je zvolena strategie řízení založená na bázi Balanced Scorecard. Autor ji aktualizuje o "měkké" sociální faktory a aspiruje na předložení funkčního strategického přístupu k implementaci principů společenské odpovědnosti do firemního řízení s dlouhodobým pozitivním ekonomickým efektem.

Abstract:

This dissertation deals with the topic of corporate social responsibility, its implementation into the strategic management of a company, and its impact on the company's economic performance. The author approaches the issue of corporate social responsibility not only with regard to the original basic theoretical definition but also in relation to its significance in today's world, particularly in terms of forming positive relationships with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders, increasing the value of an enterprise itself and building up the "goodwill" of a company. The objective of the dissertation is to examine the situation in small and medium-sized enterprises operating on the Czech market in terms of the knowledge and skills required to implement the principles of socially-responsible business into strategic management, and then, based on the results of qualitative and quantitative research, to provide a specific methodology for this implementation. Concerning the strategic management method, the dissertation makes use the Balanced Scorecard management strategy, which the author has further developing by supplementing it with "soft" social factors, so as to present a functional strategic approach to the implementation of social responsibility principles into company management with a long-term positive economic effect.
