Development of clients' meaning of life in the therapeutical community for drug addicted

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřila na prozkoumání změn v oblasti smysluplnosti života u klientů terapeutických komunit, jako v současnosti nejúčinnější metody léčby drogových závislostí. Teoretická část pojednává o metodě terapeutické komunity, zabývá se specifickou logoterapeutickou filozofickou antropologii a v ní začleněném fenoménu smyslu života a podává přehled o dosavadních výzkumech v této oblasti. Také se zamýšlí nad aplikačními možnostmi logoterapie v oblasti léčby drogově závislých. Cílem výzkumu bylo odpovědět na otázku, zda během terapie v komunitě dochází u klientu k růstu míry smysluplnosti života a případně se pokusit tento přítomný či chybějící růst blíže popsat - také na rovině dílčích aspektů smysluplnosti života. Výsledky výzkumu, zahrnující 86 respondentů z celkem šesti terapeutických komunit a pěti doléčovacích center z celé ČR, prokázaly signifikantně vyšší míru prožívání smysluplnosti života klientů na konci léčby, oproti klientům na jejím začátku. Prokázaly také středně silný vztah mezi délkou pobytu v terapii a mírou smysluplnosti života. Kromě toho byly nalezeny také zajímavé a podnětné zjištění na úrovni dílčích aspektů smysluplnosti života, které by mohly být inspirací pro další výzkumy.

Abstract:

This diploma work focuses on problem of development of life meaningfullness during therapy in therapeutical community, as most effective treatment programme for drug addicted. Theoretic part of work treats of therapeutic community as a specific method, of logotherapy philosophical antropology with phenomenon of meaning of life in it's center and also contains overview of researches made in this area. There are also some possible applications of logotherapy in drug treatment programmes outlined. The purpose of empirical research was to answer the question, if there is a significant development of client's level of meaningfullness in the defferent therapy periods. If there is some - there was also a question, if we could say something more about this development, also on particular aspects of meaningfullness in life. The results of study made on 86 respondents from 6 therapeutical communities and 5 aftercare centers in Czech republic shows, that clients in advanced phases of therapy assign a significantly higher level of meaningfullness in life, then clients on the beginning of the treatment. There was also a middle strong relationship between amount of time spended in therapy and level of meaningfullness. Also some another interesting and challenging detections were found. This could be a good topics for further researches in this area and also for professional discussions.
