Information system and its use for the management of a selected business entity

Abstract:

Tato bakalářské práce se zabývá využitím informačních systémů pro řízení části logistických aktivit vybraného podniku působícího v leteckém průmyslu. Konkrétně analyzuje používání systému ERP LN 10.5 v oddělení nákupu. Snaží se identifikovat nedostatky jak systému samotného, tak jeho používání zaměstnanci, a navrhuje konkrétní řešení, které by mělo podniku přinést úspory. Teoretická část práce mapuje historii a vývoj informačních systémů jako takových. V praktické části práce se poté autorka soustředí na představení podniku jako takového a popisuje, jakým způsobem oddělní nákupu pracuje s infomačním systémem. Její součástí je analýza problémů při praktickém využití infomačního systému uvnitř firmy. V závěru práce jsou navržena úsporná opatření, která mají zefektivnit jeho využití

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the use of information systems utilized for management of a part of logistic activities of a selected company operating in the aerospace industry. It analyses the use of ERP LN 10.5 system by the Purchase Department. It aims at identifying key drawbacks of the system itself as well as its usage by employees. The author proposes specific solutions which are supposed to result in costs savings. The theoretical part maps the history and development of information systems. In the practical part, the selected enterprise is characterised. The author elaborates on the practical use of the information system by the Purchase Department. Subsequently, the thesis analyses problems related to the practical usage of the system within the company. In the final part, the measures to make the system usage more efficient are proposed.
