The investment strategies of sovereign wealth funds in the global economy

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou Investiční strategie fondů svrchovaného majetku ve světovém hospodářství. Základem této práce je popis vybraných fondů a jejich investiční strategie. Dále se tato práce zabývá definicí státních suverenních fondů, historií a důvody jejich vzniků. Jsou zde také popsané jejich cíle, zdroje financování a investiční zásady. Také se tato práce zabývá možností regulace těchto fondů, jejich pozitiva a negativa na světové trhy. Rovněž se tato práce zabývá porovnáním státních suverenních fondů s velkými investičními fondy. Dále se tato diplomová práce zabývá možnosti vzniku státního suverenního fondu v České republice a způsoby jeho financování a přínosy, které by takto založený fond přinesl České republice a doporučení pro jeho vznik.

Abstract:

Topic of this diploma thesis is investment strategy of Sovereign Wealth Funds in the world economy. Base of the diploma thesis is a description of selected investment funds and their strategy. Further topics are definition of State sovereign funds, their history and reason of their establishment. The diploma thesis also contains targets of such funds, their financial resource and investment principals. I consider the possibilities of regulation of such funds, their positive or negative impact on world markets. There is also a comparation of state Sovereign property funds with large investment funds. The diploma thesis also contains the possibility of establishing of such fund in Czech Republic, ways of its financing, advantages of the fund and recommendations for its development.
