The thesis deals with evaluation of three Czech translations of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice by Eva Kondrysová (1967), Božena Šimková (1949) and František Noska (1946). These three translations are analyzed and compared, especially as to translation of proper names and a detailed text analysis.
