Protein Bars with Insect Protein: Proposal and Economic Evaluation of Marketing Strategy.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá entomofagií, tedy využíváním jedlého hmyzu jako potraviny. Literární rešerše popisuje nutriční i ekologické důvody pro konzumaci hmyzu jako alternativy ke konvenčním zdrojům proteinu. V práci jsou za využití 4P analyzovány firmy vyrábějící proteinové tyčinky v Evropě, USA a Kanadě. Bylo využito dotazníkového šetření pro následnou SWOT analýzu. Cílem práce je návrh a ekonomické zhodnocení marketingové strategie pro proteinové tyčinky obsahující protein z hmyzu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is about entomophagy, which means using edible insect as source of food. Literature research describes nutritional and ecological benefits of insect consumption as alternative sources of protein compared to conventional protein production. In this thesis companies from Europe, USA and Canada producing protein bars with insect protein are analysed by 4P. Questionnaire survey was used as a source for the SWOT analysis. The goal is to suggest and economically evaluate marketing strategy for protein bars containing insect.
