Analysis and comparation of the Czech magazine Vlasta and the German magazine Brigitte

Abstract:

Práce komplexně analyzuje a porovnává ženské magazíny Vlasta a Brigitte. Vlasta je v současnosti nejstarší dosud vycházející český časopis pro ženy, Brigitte je nejznámější ženský časopis v Německu, vycházející již přes sto let, jeho historie je tedy velmi bohatá. Jejich vydávání neukončil ani komunistický režim, který měl však na periodika vliv. Oba se věnují ženským tématům, jako je především móda, kosmetika, vztahy nebo vaření. Obsahem jsou taktéž různé tipy, triky a články odbornějšího rázu, psané samotnými odborníky na problematiku rodinného života, partnerských vztahů či zdraví. Náplní teoretické části práce je charakteristika samotných magazínů, analýza jejich historického vývoje, obsahu, obálek, grafiky, obsažených fotografií a následný popis internetových forem. Obsahem části praktické je následné porovnání obou periodik, rozbor vybraných publicistických formátů, prostor reklamy v magazínech, závěrečná shrnující analýza a vize do budoucnosti, jak velký počet čtenářů v následujících letech tyto magazíny pravděpodobně čeká.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis comprehensively analyzes and compares the women's magazines Vlasta and Brigitte. Vlasta is currently the oldest published Czech women's magazine, Brigitte is the most famous women's magazine in Germany, published for over a hundred years, so its history is very extensive. Their publication was not stopped by the communist regime, which had influence on the journals. Both deal with women's issues, such as fashion, cosmetics, relationships or cooking. The content also includes various tips, tricks and articles of professional nature written by the experts themselves on the issues of family life, partner relationships or health. The content of the theoretical part of the thesis is the characteristics of the magazines, analysis of their historical development, content, covers, graphics, photographs and the description of Internet forms. The content of the practical part is a comparation of both journals, an analysis of the selected journalistic formats, the space of advertising in the magazines, a final summary and a future vision, how many readers these magazines are likely to expect in the coming years.
