Training and development of work skillsfor people with mental illness in the social therapeutic workshops

Abstract:

Práce s názvem „Nácvik a rozvoj pracovních dovedností u lidí s duševním onemocněním v rámci sociálně terapeutických dílen“ se zabývá problematikou pracovního nácviku u lidí s duševním onemocněním, kteří jsou klienty služby sociálně terapeutických dílen. Teoretická část se věnuje charakteristice vybraných duševních nemocí a jejich typickými příznaky, zaobírá se specifiky životní situace takto nemocných lidí a jejich životními potřebami. Dále je zde popsán koncept psychiatrické rehabilitace, podrobněji je uvedena rehabilitace pracovní s používanými metodami a postupy. Práce uvádí stručně i legislativní rámec sociálních služeb, také popis pravidel a postupů služby sociálně terapeutických dílen při organizaci VOR Jihlava. Empirická část definuje pět faktorů, které mohou mít vliv na osvojení pracovní dovedností a kompetencí. Na základě takto určených faktorů bylo stanoveno pět výzkumných otázek, které zjišťují, zda a jak s těmito faktory služba sociálně terapeutických dílen pracuje. Použita byla metoda kvalitativního výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The thesis entitled „Training and development of work skills for people with mental illness in the social therapeutic workshops” focuses on work skills training of mentally ill clients in social – therapeutic workshops. The theory part of the thesis introduces different characteristics of chosen mental illnesses with their typical symptoms. It deals with life situations specificities of people with these kinds of illnesses and their needs. Further on a concept of psychiatric rehabilitation is described with detailed focus on work rehabilitation, its methods, procedures and interventions. Also a brief legal scope of social services is presented in the thesis as well as rules and procedures description of social services in social – therapeutic workshops in the organization VOR Jihlava. The empiric part of the thesis is based on quality research methods. It defines five factors that may influence acquiring of work skills and competencies. Five research fields were defined according to these factors. The respective fields are focused on using these factors by social workers in social – therapeutic workshops.
