Accessibility of digital public administration from the perspective of people on the edge of the digital divide

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce „Přístupnost digitalizované veřejné správy z pohledu osob na okraji digitální propasti“, provede čtenáře problematikou užívání digitalizované veřejné správy z pohledu její složitosti a přístupnosti s přihlédnutím na počítačovou gramotnost jejích uživatelů. V úvodní části práce provede čtenáře problematikou české veřejné správy. Důraz je zde kladen především na samotné pochopení tohoto pojmu a také členění veřejné správy. Dále bude rozebrána problematika digitální propasti na místní i globální úrovni. Tato část provede čtenáře často opomíjenou odvrácenou stranou rychlého rozvoje informačních a komunikačních technologií. V neposlední řadě tato bakalářská práce shrne poznatky provedené případové studie a navrhne možnosti vylepšení internetových stránek testovaných institucí veřejné správy.

Abstract:

The presented bachelor thesis “Accessibility of digital public administration from the perspective of people on the edge of the digital divide” will lead the readers through the issue of the use of digitised public administration from the perspective of its complexity and accessibility, taking into account computer literacy of its users. In its first part the thesis will lead the readers through the issue of the Czech public administration. The focus is especially on the understanding of the notion itself and also on the division of public administration. Subsequently, the issue of the digitised divide will be discussed on local as well as global level. This part will lead the readers through the often neglected dark side of the fast development of information and communication technology. Last but not least, this bachelor thesis will summarise the findings from the conducted case study and it will suggest possible improvements to the websites of the tested public administration institutions
