Cyber Bullying Issues Amongst Secondary Schools Pupils During the Period of Covid-19 Pandemic Distant Learning

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou kyberšikany u žáků 2. stupně základních škol v období distanční výuky během pandemie Covid-19. Teoretická část popisuje vývoj šikany a kyberšikany a vymezuje rozdíl mezi tradiční šikanou a kyberšikanou. Obecně pohlíží na šikanu, podrobněji se zaobírá kyberšikanou, včetně jejího dopadu a soustřeďuje se na kyberšikanu v období distanční výuky zapříčiněné nástupem pandemie Covid-19. V závěru je věnována pozornost tomu, jakou roli zastává škola a sociální pracovník v oblasti primární prevence. Cílem práce je zjistit, zdali se žáci 2. stupně základních škol setkali v období distanční výuky během pandemie Covid-19 s kyberšikanou častěji než v běžné prezenční výuce před nástupem pandemie. Pro vyhodnocení výzkumného šetření byla zvolena kvantitativní metoda. Sběr dat byl proveden formou strukturovaného dotazníku. Výsledky výzkumu poukázaly na mírný nárůst kyberšikany na základních školách během období distanční výuky, a to o 5,5 %. Výskyt kyberšikany mírně vzrostl v téměř všech vymezených projevech, a to v průměru o 10 %.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on issue of cyberbullying amongst the Secondary school pupils during the period of remote learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Theoretical part describes emergence of bullying and cyberbullying, and outlines the difference between bullying as opposed to cyberbullying. It looks at bullying in a general sense, then adresses cyberbullying in detail including its impact and focuses on cyberbullying during the period of remote learning as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. The concluding part gives attention to the role schools and social workers play in primary prevention. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to establish whether secondary school pupils were exposed more often to the cyberbullying during the pandemic than in the pre pandemic period of in-class teaching. Quantitative method was chosen for the evaluation of this research. Data collection was undertaken in the form of a structured questionnaire. The results of this research indicated a slight increase level of cyberbullying in secondary schools during the period of remote learning, it is about 5,5 %. The incidence of cyberbullying increased slightly in almost all specific forms of behaviour in average by 10 %.
