Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce „Fenomén vyšších vzdělávacích škol ve Spojených státech amerických: Analytický obraz a případová studie“ kriticky popisuje a hodnotí současnou pozici těchto institucí v oblasti vzdělávání v této zemi. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Teoretická část představuje studii o vyšších odborných školách. Kompilace názorů z akademického prostředí vytváří ucelený obraz o problematice. Praktická část využívá teoretické poznatky jako základní kámen pro vytvoření otázek výzkumu, který analyzuje a hodnotí konkrétní vyšší odbornou školu v Texasu, kde autorka textu studovala.

Abstract:

The master’s diploma thesis entitled “A Phenomenon of Community Colleges in the USA: Analytical Portrayal and Case Study” takes a close look at the position of community colleges in the educational system in the United States. The thesis is divided into two major parts. The theoretical part offers a general study into public community colleges. Through an analytical composition of academic opinions a cohesive picture is presented. The practical part sees theoretical facts as bedrock to form research questions which are used to analyse and elaborate on a particular community college in Texas in the USA where the author of the thesis studied.
