Return to society: The issue of women after the execution of the sentence of liberty

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje problémům či překážkám, kterým čelí ženy propuštěné z výkonu trestu odnětí svobody. V teoretické části bude na základě dostupné odborné literatury popsán úvod do trestu a trestání, kriminalita žen, riziko možné recidivy, nebo naopak proces desistence, navazující na proces resocializace. Vysvětlena bude i probační a mediační služba, systém postpenitenciární péče v ČR. V rámci empirické části bude provedeno vlastní výzkumné šetření, a to formou dotazníku na vzorku odsouzených žen, které již v minulosti recidivovaly. Uskutečněn bude také rozhovor s odborným pracovníkem Vězeňské služby ČR, jehož cílem bude zjistit jeho názory a praktické zkušenosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is about the problems and obstacles to which women released from prison have to face. In the theoretical part, there would be used available specialed literature to describe an introduction to punishment and chastisement, the criminality of women, the risk of possible relapse, or, conversely, the process of desistance following the process of resocialisation. The probation and mediation service and the system of post-penitentiary care in the Czech Republic will also be explained. In the empirical part, personal research would be done in the form of a questionnaire given to convicted women who have already relapsed in the past. Lastly, an interview with a professional worker of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic would be done. Its aim would be to find out his opinions and his practical experience.
