Free-time activities in senior house

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce s názvem Volnočasové aktivity v domově pro seniory je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části se nejprve zmiňuji o fyziologických, psychologických a sociálních změnách, kterými prochází stárnoucí člověk. Dále se zabývám přijetím klientů do domova pro seniory a následně se věnuji potřebám, které mají být naplněny při péči o seniory. Do stejné kapitoly jsem zařadila i motivační prvky při práci se seniory a komunikaci se seniory, která je nezbytná pro pracovníky v domovech pro seniory. Poslední kapitola teoretické části se věnuje aktivizaci samotné. V praktické části budu zjišťovat spokojenost obyvatel domova pro seniory s aktivizačními programy, které jim jsou nabízeny. Zajímat se budu o to, jaká je informovanost obyvatel o nabízených aktivitách, které aktivity navštěvují a jak vnímají přístup sociálních pracovníků. Pro svůj výzkum použiji kvalitativní metodu a jako nástroj sběru dat jsem si zvolila rozhovor pomocí návodu.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis “Free-time activities in senior house” is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I have stated the physiological, psychological and social changes that the elderly people undergo. In the next part I have depictured the process of client admission into the senior house. Then I have described the needs that must be fulfilled in the senior care. In the same chapter I have inserted a subchapter regarding motivation elements in the communication and work with seniors. The communication is a very important aspect for the senior house staff. The last chapter in the theoretical part refers to the activization itself. In the practical part I have interviewed the senior house occupants about their satisfaction with the activization programmes offered. I am mainly interested how well are the inhabitants informed about the activities offered, which activities they have attended and about their opinion about the approach of social workers. In my research I use a qualitative method. As the data collection tool I utilize the guidelined interview.
