Field services of social welfare with orientation to senior citizens as a final group of users

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na zmapování jednotlivých druhů terénních služeb sociální péče se zaměřením na seniory jako cílovou skupinu uživatelů. Jejím cílem je vymezit tyto služby v rámci aktuální právní úpravy a provedení jejich komparace. Úvodní část práce představuje seznámení s problematikou stáří a stárnutí a objasnění základních pojmů, se kterými se dále v textu pracuje. Další jednotlivé kapitoly se věnují otázkám periodizace stáří, stárnutí jako společenskému fenoménu, demografickým aspektům stárnutí, dále přibližují změny, které stáří přináší, a vysvětlují problematiku soběstačnosti a závislosti ve stáří. Hlavní část práce je věnována analýze aktuální legislativy upravující oblast sociálních služeb. Nejprve jsou definovány sociální služby jako součást systému sociální ochrany. Následně je provedeno vymezení a rozbor jednotlivých druhů terénních služeb sociální péče se zaměřením na seniory jako cílovou skupinu uživatelů a jejich vzájemné porovnání. Nedílnou součástí závěru práce je objasnění nové právní úpravy institutu poskytovatele sociálních služeb a přiblížení nových prvků zavedených do oblasti poskytování a kvality sociálních služeb a vztahu mezi poskytovatelem a uživatelem.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focusing on mapping types of field services of social welfare and is concentrating on senior citizens as a final group of users. The main goal of this document is to define these services in accordance with the current laws and to compare them. The introduction of this thesis describes the problems associated with age, ageing and the misconceptions attached with old age. The continuing chapters are dedicated to the various stages of age, ageing as a social phenomenon, demographical aspects of ageing and the changes that old age might bring. The thesis then aims to highlight problems with dependency and independency associated with old age. The core part analyses current laws that are regulating the social welfare area. First are defined social services as a part of social relief. In the next chapters is the definition and analysis of each type of field service of social welfare with a focus towards senior citizens as a final group of users and its comparison. The concluding part of this thesis is hoping to path the way towards a change in the current law definition from the institute of social welfare provider and focuses on new elements established in the scope of giving quality of social services with increased relations between the provider and the users.
