Use of personality and educational principles of the family of a child with Down syndrome

Abstract:

ABSTRAKT Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem výchovy dětí s Downovým syndromem v rodinách. Jejím cílem je zmapování využívání současných přístupů rodiny v edukaci a osobnostním rozvoji dítěte s touto diagnózou. V teoretické části je popsán Downův syndrom, základní charakteristika, formy a etiologie, výchovné a vzdělávací potřeby těchto dětí. Následně je věnována pozornost rodině dítěte s Downovým syndromem, rodičům, jejich komunikaci s dítětem a edukačním principům. Praktická část se zaměřuje na edukační a osobnostní principy v konkrétní rodině, která pečuje o dnes již dospělého syna s Downovým syndromem. Prostřednictvím případové studie jsou přiblíženy metody a přístupy, které byly rodinou využívány a jsou dodnes. Práce tak poukazuje na důležitost rodinného působení ve vývoji dětí s Downovým syndromem. Abstract:

ABSTRACT The presented bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of raising children with Down syndrome in families. Its goal is to map the use of current family approaches in the education and personal development of a child with this diagnosis. The theoretical part describes Down's syndrome, its basic characteristics, forms and etiology, educational and educational needs of these children. Subsequently, attention is paid to the family of a child with Down syndrome, parents, their communication with the child and educational principles. The practical part focuses on educational and personality principles in a specific family that cares for a now adult son with Down syndrome. Through the case study, the methods and approaches that were used by the family and are still used today are explained. The work thus points to the importance of family influence in the development of children with Down syndrome.
