Strategie zajištění ceny leteckého paliva v leteckém průmyslu

Abstract:

Tato práce má za cíl vybavit tresury oddělení mezinárodních leteckých společností praktickými strategiemi pro zajištění ceny leteckého paliva, které umožní zvýšit tržní cenu aerolinií a snížit tak jejich náklady vlastního kapitálu. Současné práce na dané téma se soustředí především na teorii zajištění. Případová studie tvořící druhou polovinu této práce poukazuje na chyby i úspěchy většiny nejvýznamnějších leteckých společností mezi roky 2006 a 2012, zatímco první polovina práce poskytuje teoretický rámec pro zajišťovací operace s praktickými závěry, které mohou být použity ve formulaci a prosazování strategie zajišťování cen leteckého paliva.

Abstract:

This thesis aims to provide corporate treasuries of international airlines with practical jet fuel hedging strategies that would raise companies' market value and lower their cost of equity. The current work available on the subject focuses mostly on the theory of hedging. The case study that constitutes the second half of this work clearly explains both the errors and achievements of most of the major airlines between 2006 and 2012 while the first half provides a theoretical framework for hedging with practical conclusions that can be used in formulating and enforcing hedging policies.
