The perception of barriers to reintegration into society after punishment from view of the prisoners and the personnel of the remand prison

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se zaměřím na vnímání bariér při znovuzačlenění osob ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody do společnosti z pohledu vězňů a zaměstnanců Vazební věznice Teplice. Zajímám se hlavně o poskytovanou péči odsouzeným, kteří budou v nejbližší době propuštěni a jsou zapojeni do různých programů zacházení. Dále také, zda je tato péče dostatečná, nebo by se mělo něco změnit a případně podat návrhy na možné zlepšení průběhu resocializace v kontextu sociální práce. Teoretická část mé práce se zaměřuje na pojmy, kterými jsou například trest odnětí svobody, penologie, programy zacházení, penitenciární péče, postpenitenciární péče, kontinuální sociální práce, resocializace a role sociálního pracovníka. Pro sběr dat jsem použila kombinaci kvalitativního a kvantitativního výzkumu, kterým se snažím zjistit vnímané bariéry při znovuzačlenění do společnosti z pohledu vězňů a personálu vazební věznice Teplice a také kritické a pomáhající faktory úspěšné reintegrace. Z výsledků výzkumu se můžeme například dozvědět, že skoro polovině odsouzených se během výkonu trestu změnil hodnotový systém a vidí největší problém ve splácení dluhů. Na druhou stranu personál vazební věznice Teplice uvádí, že mají odsouzení největší problém se zajištěním bydlení a zaměstnání, ale také s neochotou něco změnit.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis I will focus on understanding the barriers of reintegration of people in custodial sentence to society from the view of the prisoners and the employees of Detention Centre Teplice. I am mainly interested in provision of the care for the ones who were sentenced and soon will be set free and who are involved in different treatment schemes. Also if the care is sufficient or should it be changed and alternatively to give suggestions on improving the process of rehabilitation in social work extend. Theoretical part of my thesis focuses on terminologies such as custodial sentence, penology, treatment schemes, penitenciary and postpenitenciary care, continuous social work, rehabilitation and the role of social worker. To collect data I have used a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods in order to find out the perceptions of the barriers during reintegration to society from the view of prisoners and employees of Detention Centre Teplice and also critical and helping factors of successful reintegration. From the results we can find out for example that almost half of sentenced have changed their value system during imprisonment and they see the biggest problem in repaying the debts. On the other hand, the employees of Detention Centre Teplice have said that the convicted have biggest problem with securing the living and the career but also with unwillingness to make a change.
