Aspects of Greek Mythology in Neil Gaiman's Sandman Stories
Abstract:
The bachelor thesis focuses on identifying the aspects of Greek mythology in Sandman stories written by Neil Gaiman. At first, the terms Aspect and Greek mythology are explained, then the connection of dreams and myths is clarified. Then follows the concrete identification and comparison of the individual characters and aspects to the Greek mythology.
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se soustředí na identifikování aspektů řecké mytologie v příbězích Sandmana napsaná Neilem Gaimanem. Nejprve jsou vysvětleny pojmy Aspekt a řecká mytologie, dále je objasněna spojitost snů s mýty. Poté následuje konkrétní identifikace a přirovnání jednotlivých postav a aspektů k řecké mytologii.
