Digital technology in education

Abstract:

Podstatou této závěrečné práce je pohled na stávající implementaci nových informačních technologií do výuky, využití při přípravě výuky a následné uvedení v jednotlivých vyučovacích hodinách. V textu své práce se detailně zabývám implementací nových informačních technologií v odborných i obecných předmětech. Informační technologie přinášejí vyučujícím i žákům nové výzvy, které je třeba postupně zvládnout a uvést do praxe. Díky nim je možné výuku obohatit o nové prvky, které mohou v mnoha ohledech usnadnit vzdělávání a učení samotné již během výuky. Konkrétně se jedná o zavedení projektů Raspberry a Arduino, které mě zaujaly v odborných článcích cizojazyčných publikací o IT, t. j. např. časopis Chip nebo texty o projektech univerzity v Oxfordu, které tuto problematiku zpracovávaly. Tato práce je zároveň pojednáním o využití těchto projektů, které bych sám rád v budoucnu využíval, bude-li k tomu příležitost. Projekty představují především nízkorozpočtové řešení a dosažitelnost základních výpočetních technologií. Původně byly určeny pro oblasti afrického kontinentu a míst, kde je komplikované získávání finančních prostředků, avšak invence v nich obsažená je natolik zajímavá, že se dnes projekty distribuují jak v Evropě, tak ve zbytku světa. Práce zároveň přibližuje vývoj nových technologických periferií ve školství a vědě, a následně i v různých průmyslových odvětvích. V době pandemie covidu museli školy i rodiče investovat nemalé prostředky do informačních technologií, aby mohli být žáci nebo studenti kontinuálně vzděláváni. Je třeba si dle mého názoru uvědomit, že nízkonákladová řešení jsou aktuální za všech okolností a tato práce chce toto téma pouze zdůraznit.

Abstract:

The essence of this final work is a look at the current implementation of new information technologies in teaching, use in the preparation of teaching and subsequent introduction in individual lessons. In the text of my work I deal in detail with the implementation of new information technologies in specialized and general subjects. Information technologies bring new challenges to teachers and students, which need to be gradually mastered and put into practice. Thanks to them, it is possible to enrich teaching with new elements, which in many ways can facilitate education and learning itself during teaching. Specifically, it is the introduction of Raspberry and Arduino projects, which interested me in professional articles in foreign language publications on IT, such as Chip magazine or texts about Oxford University projects that dealt with this issue. This work is also a discussion of the use of these projects, which I would like to use in the future, if the opportunity arises. The projects mainly represent a low-budget solution and the availability of basic computer technologies. They were originally intended for areas of the African continent and places where fundraising is complicated, but the invention contained in them is so interesting that today projects are distributed both in Europe and in the rest of the world. The work also describes the development of new technological peripheries in education and science, and subsequently in various industries. During the covid pandemic, schools and parents had to invest considerable resources in information technology so that pupils or students could be continuously educated. In my opinion, it is necessary to realize that low-cost solutions are always up to date and this work only wants to emphasize this topic.
