Abstract:
Policie České republiky je ozbrojený bezpečnostní sbor, který svoji působnost vykonává na území celé České republiky. Jejím hlavním úkolem je chránit veřejnou bezpečnost a pořádek. Obce podle zákona o obcích mohou zřídit obecní policii, která je orgánem obce. Místní působnost obecní policie je vymezena územím obce. The Police of the Czech Republic is an armed security body which operates on the whole territory of the Czech Republic. The main feature characterizing the security bodies is their main task to protect public security. The municipalities are authorized to establish the Municipal Police, which is the municipal body.
