The role of the key worker in the Home for Elderly and his methodical supervision

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá představami klíčových pracovníků v domově pro seniory o jejich roli při práci s klientem a vlivem metodického vedení na utváření těchto představ. Hlavní výzkumná otázka, na kterou se v této práci snažím zodpovědět, zní: „Na jaký typ představ o roli klíčového pracovníka v procesu individuálního plánování práce s klientem v domově pro seniory orientuje klíčové pracovníky metodické vedení?“ Práce je rozdělena do tří celků. V teoretické části se zabývám vymezením služby domov pro seniory v rámci systému sociálních služeb, charakteristikou životní situace seniora jako klienta pobytového zařízení sociálních služeb, popisem procesu individuálního plánování služby, sestavením typologie představ o roli klíčového pracovníka a vymezením metodického vedení klíčových pracovníků. V metodologické části podávám zdůvodnění výběru kvalitativní výzkumné strategie a dále se věnuji popisu technik sběru dat, vymezení jednotky zkoumání a zjišťování, operacionalizaci výzkumných otázek a popisem organizace výzkumu. Předmětem analytické části je rozbor a interpretace zjištěných skutečností, týkajících se typového zaměření představ klíčových pracovníků o jejich roli při práci s klientem a působení metodického vedení na utváření těchto představ. Na základě prezentovaných zjištění je v závěru zodpovězena hlavní výzkumná otázka a jsou navržena některá doporučení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the ideas of the key workers in a Home for the Elderly that characterise their role in the work with client. Also it is aimed at the impact of the methodical supervision on shaping of these ideas. The main research question of the thesis is: „Towards what kind of ideas about the role of the key worker in the process of the individual planning of the work with a client in the Home for the Elderly are the key workers oriented by their methodical supervisors?“ The thesis is divided into three parts. In the theoretical part the type of the social service „Home for the Elderly“ is characterized, the life situation of a senior as a client of a resident social service is described and the process of the individual planning of the social service providing is explained. After that the typology of the ideas characterising the role of the key worker is established and the concept of the methodical supervision of the key workers is explained. In the methodical part the selection of quality research strategy is clarified, then the data collection technique is suggested, the operationalization is realized and the unit of researching and organization of the research are described. The subject of the analytical part is the analysis and interpretation of the findings related to the type targettig of the ideas of the key workers about their role in working with client. The analytical part is also aimed at the impact of the methodical supervision on the shaping of these ideas. In the conclusion the main research question is answered based on the presented outcomes and some recommendations are provided.
