Analysis of current trends in the solid wood furniture market

Abstract:

Náplní diplomové práce je analýza a hodnocení aktuálních preferencí, zaměřuje se také na popis procesu a rozhodování spotřebitelů na trhu s nábytkem. Teoretická část práce se zabývá strukturou trhu, procesem nakupování, spotřebitelským chováním, faktory ovlivňující rozhodování spotřebitelů, a zvláště rozhodujícími faktory při výběru nábytku. Další část práce se věnuje materiálům používaným při výrobě nábytku, s důrazem na masivní dřevo a aglomerovaný materiál. Na základě teoretických poznatků byly vytvořeny dva dotazníky: první je určený spotřebitelům a druhý se obrací na firmy a truhláře působící v nábytkářském průmyslu. Získané informace mohou sloužit jako doporučení nebo rady pro současné i budoucí nábytkářské firmy, které tak mohou lépe porozumět potřebám zákazníků a přizpůsobit své produkty a služby. Odpovědi nábytkářských společností mohou být naopak užitečné pro budoucí absolventy.

Abstract:

The scope of the thesis is the analysis and evaluation of current preferences, it also focuses on the description of the process and decision-making of consumers in the furniture market. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the market structure, the shopping process, the consumer behaviour, the factors influencing the consumer's decision and, in particular, the decisive factors in the choice of furniture. The next part of the thesis deals with the materials used in furniture production, focusing on solid wood and agglomerated materials. On the basis of the theoretical findings, two questionnaires were developed: the first one was addressed to consumers and the second one to companies and woodworkers working in the furniture industry. The information obtained can be used as recommendations or advice for current and future furniture companies to better understand the needs of customers and adapt their products and services. In turn, the responses from furniture companies can be useful for future graduates.
