European Heritage Days in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá Dny evropského dědictví v České republice. Cílem práce bylo zhodnotit jaké má tato akce dopady na cestovní ruch a dále navrhnout možná zlepšení pro podporu cestovního ruchu. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. První část se zabývá kulturou a kulturním dědictvím. Zde je obecně vymezeno pojetí kultura, a jeho vliv na domácí kulturní cestovní ruch. Dále bylo definováno kulturní dědictví a jeho vliv na našem území. Druhá část mapuje historický vývoj Dnů evropského dědictví v České republice a v Evropě. Následující kapitola seznamuje s průběhem Národního zahájení Dnů evropského dědictví v Litomyšli v září 2019. Poslední kapitola práce obsahuje vyhodnocení, které probíhalo na základě dotazníkového šetření u respondentů, kteří navštívili Národní zahájení v Litomyšli. Výsledky ukazují, že Dny evropského dědictví mají pozitivní vliv na domácí cestovní ruch. Zvyšují návštěvnost kulturních památek. Z výsledků vyplývá, že o této události mají větší povědomí osoby starší 25 let, a proto by bylo dobré zaměřit propagaci na osoby mladší, a to především pomocí sociálních sítí a tím podpořit rozvoj domácího cestovního ruchu a také zvýšit povědomí o kulturním dědictví a historii mezi mladými lidmi.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with European Heritage Days in the Czech Republic. The aim of this work is to evaluate the impact of this action on tourism and to suggest possible improvements for the support of tourism. The thesis is divided into two major parts. The first part deals with culture and cultural heritage. It brings the definitions of expressions related to the topic and its impact on domestic tourism. The cultural heritage and its influence on our territory are also defined here. The second part of thesis maps the historical development of European Heritage Days in the Czech Republic and in Europe. The following chapter introduces the official opening of the European Heritage Days in Litomyšl in September 2019. The last chapter of the thesis brings the results of questionnaire of the respondents who visited the National Opening in Litomyšl. Surveys have found that the European Heritage Days have a positive impact on domestic tourism and increase attendance of cultural monuments. The results show that people over the age of 25 are more aware of the event. It would be good to focus our promotion on younger people, mainly through the social networks and support the development of domestic tourism and also raise awareness of cultural heritage and history among young people.
