Vliv přímých zahraničních investic na hospodářský rozvoj Nigérie

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá analýzou vlivu přímých zahraničních investic na hospodářský rozvoj Nigérie. V části literárního přehledu jsou zpracována témata blízká zkoumanému problému. Jsou to zejména přímé zahraniční investice, hospodářský rozvoj a jejich vzájemný vztah a nebo také porovnání vývoje vybraných proměnných v Nigérii s ostatními zeměmi. K výzkumu jsou použity časové řady s ročním intervalem a to v letech 2003 – 2020. Pro analýzu byla zvolena metoda nejmenších čtverců (OLS), která slouží k určení modelu několikanásobné regrese, současně s Johansenovým testem a testem jednotkového kořene (ADF). Závislou proměnou byl v tomto případě Index lidského rozvoje (ILR). Jako nezávislá proměnná figuroval příliv přímých zahraničních investic (PZI), tvorba hrubého fixního kapitálu (HFK) a velikost pracovní síly (PS). Z výsledků vyplývá, že velikost pracovní síly má pozitivní a statisticky významný vliv na index lidského rozvoje, avšak proměnné PZI a HK dle výsledů testů měly na index lidského rozvoje negativní a statisticky nevýznamný vliv.

Abstract:

This study analyzes the impact of foreign direct investment inflow on the economic development of Nigera. The literature review covered the main topics related to the research, such as foreign direct investment, economic development and their relationship, and a comparison of the evolution of the chosen variables in time in Nigeria with the other countries. Annual time series data for the research were obtained from the World Bank database, ranging from 2003 to 2020. As a method of analysis, the ordinary least square (OLS) technique is used to estimate the multivariate regression model, together with the Unit root (ADF) test and Johansen cointegrations test. The dependent variable for the research was Human Development Index (HDI), and the independent variables were Foreign direct investment (FDI), Gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) and Labour force (LF). The results show that while LF has a significant positive impact on HDI, FDI and GFCF have no significant impact on HDI in the analysed period.
