The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the constitutional development of Czechoslovakia and the individual constitutions of both republics as independent states. The theme has been chosen with regard to the fact that the constitution is legal regulation with the highest power of any democratic state and therefore influences the life of all citizens of the given country.
