The impact of the combination of fiscal and monetary policy in the Czech Republic in the 2nd half of the 90's of the 20th century.

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je analýza dopadů kombinace fiskální a monetární politiky v České republice ve 2. polovině 90. let, zvláště v období finanční krize. Rozbor hospodářské situace je vypracován od roku 1995 do roku 1999. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část popisuje základní pojmy z makroekonomie a objasňuje principy fungování nástrojů hospodářské politiky státu. Praktická část je zaměřena na analýzu ekonomické situace v tomto období, popisuje vývoj monetární a fiskální politiky a uvádí několik odborných názorů na koordinaci těchto politik. V závěru práce jsou zhodnoceny dopady fungování monetární a fiskální politiky na ekonomickou situaci v zemi a posouzeny faktory působící na chování těchto politik.

Abstract:

The goal of this work is to analyze the effects of the combination of fiscal and monetary policy in the Czech Republic in the 2nd half of the 90?s, especially during the financial crisis. Economic situation analysis is performed in between years 1995 and 1999. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts of macroeconomics and illustrates principles of the instruments of economic policy. The practical part is focused on the analysis of the economic situation in this period, describes the evolution of monetary and fiscal policies and finally provides some expert opinions on the coordination of these policies. At the end of work an assessment of impact of monetary and fiscal policies on the economic situation in the country is made and factors affecting the behavior of these policies are reviewed.
