Resocialization of persons following the execution of imprisonment

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá resocializací osob po výkonu trestu odnětí svobody. Cílem je odhalit, s jakými limity se propuštění setkávají a zda a jakým způsobem spolupracují zainteresovaní aktéři, kteří se podílejí na resocializačním programu. Dílčím cílem je také zjistit, jaké jsou výhody a nevýhody resocializace z pohledu pracovníků, jež pracují v postpenitenciární péči, ale také již v penitenciární. Teoretická východiska jsou vybrána, vzhledem k daným cílům, jako funkce a účel výkonu trestu odnětí svobody, osobnostní důvody páchání opakovaných trestných činů, stigmatizace a rezortismus. Rozhodla jsem se pro své téma vybrat kvalitativní metodu a realizovala jsem rozhovory především se zástupci postpenitenciární péče. Těmi jsou pracovníci z Úřadu práce, z Probační a mediační služby a z neziskové organizace. Aby došlo k úspěšnému začlenění do společnosti po výkonu trestu, je potřeba začít již ve vězení, proto je zde uveden i zástupce z penitenciární péče, který se dostává do kontrastu se zástupci následné pomoci či jejich tvrzení potvrzuje. V neposlední řadě byl proveden rozhovor s poslancem, který je rovněž členem v podvýboru pro vězeňství a s výzkumníkem pro penologii. Z výzkumu se především potvrzuje to, že je potřeba s klientem pracovat komplexně a to jak s důrazem na osobnostní důvody recidivy, tak na systémové překážky, které nemůže pachatel ovlivnit. Výsledky také prokazují, že pro ukončení recidivy trestaných má vliv i společenské vnímání, které je v první řadě potřeba změnit, aby především majoritní veřejnost byla ochotna přijmout zpět člověka s trestnou minulostí.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with resocialization of persons after imprisonment. The aim is to find out what limits the redundancies meet and whether and how the actors involved in the resocialization program work together. A partial goal is also to find out what are the advantages and disadvantages of resocialization from the point of view of workers working in postpenitentiary care, but also in penitentiary care. The theoretical bases are chosen, with respect to the given objectives, as function and purpose of imprisonment, personality reasons for committing repeated crimes, stigmatization and departmentalism. I decided to choose a qualitative method for my topic and conducted interviews primarily with representatives of post-penitentiary care. These are workers from the Labor Office, the Probation and Mediation Service and a non-profit organization. In order to be successfully integrated into the society after serving the sentence, it is necessary to start in prison, therefore a penitentiary representative is mentioned, who is in contrast to or confirms the representatives of subsequent assistance. Last but not least, an interview was held with a Member of Parliament who is also a member of the Subcommittee on Prison and a Penology Researcher. The research confirms above all that it is necessary to work with the client in a complex way, both with an emphasis on personal reasons of relapse and systemic obstacles that the offender cannot influence. The results also show that the social perception has an impact on the ending of the recurrence of the punished, which must be changed first and foremost so that the majority public is willing to take back a person with a criminal past.
