Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá výukou anglického jazyka na středních školách v období distančního vzdělávání, tj. ve virtuálním prostředí, konkrétně se zaměřením na žáky s dyslexií a dalšími specifickými vzdělávacími potřebami. Teoretická část se skládá ze dvou kapitol. První kapitola je věnována dyslexii jako ústřednímu fenoménu diplomové práce, jakož i dysgrafii, dyspraxii, dyskalkulii, poruše pozornosti (ADD), poruše pozornosti s hyperaktivitou (ADHD) a Aspergerově syndromu. Druhá kapitola se zabývá on-line vzděláváním a využitím informačně-technologických prostředků pro vzdělávací účely s důrazem na žáky se specifickými vzdělávacími potřebami. Výzkum v praktické části má kvalitativní charakter a jako metoda výzkumu byla využita zakotvená teorie. Data byla získána pomocí rozhovorů s žáky, u kterých je diagnostikována dyslexie, případně také jiné specifické vzdělávací potřeby. Výsledkem praktické části je analýza odpovědí studentů zahrnující jejich osobní pohledy na průběh distančního vzdělávání, popis silných i slabých stránek distančního vzdělávání, jakož i formulace případných návrhů na zkvalitnění vzdělávacího procesu v on-line prostředí s cílem zvýšit šanci na úspěch u žáků s dyslexií.

Abstract:

The present diploma thesis deals with teaching English in the upper secondary schools during the implementation of distance learning, i.e. in the virtual environment, with a focus on learners with dyslexia and other special educational needs. The theoretical part consists of two chapters. The first chapter is devoted to dyslexia as a central phenomenon of the diploma thesis, as well as to dysgraphia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Asperger’s syndrome. The second chapter is concerned with online education and the use of information and communications technology tools for educational purposes, with emphasis on pupils with special educational needs. Research in the practical part is of a qualitative nature and a grounded theory design has been used as a method of research. The data were obtained through interviews with learners diagnosed with dyslexia and other special educational needs. The result of the practical part is the analysis of the students’ responses which include their personal views on distance learning, a description of the strengths and weaknesses of distance learning, as well as a presentation of proposals to improve the teaching-learning process in online environment in order to increase the chances of success for learners with dyslexia.
