Rural renewal - an example of a small village

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zkoumá výzvy a příležitosti spojené s obnovou venkova na konkrétním příkladu malé obce Lobeč, nacházející se ve Středočeském kraji. Cílem diplomové práce je popis a analýza faktorů, které přispívají k obnově venkova a rozvoji obce Lobeč. Teoretická část práce vysvětluje základní pojmy jako obec, venkov, charakterizuje venkovský prostor v porovnání s městem, vymezuje pojem region, popisuje význam regionální politiky v kontextu obnovy venkova, význam regionálního rozvoje pro udržitelný rozvoj venkovských oblastí. Praktická část práce se věnuje hodnocení současné situace obce Lobeč, přiblížení její historie, identifikaci klíčových problémů, kdy jsou analyzována dostupná data a za pomoci rozhovorů a kvantitativního dotazníkového šetření má poskytnout ucelený pohled na možnosti a výzvy spojené s procesem obnovy venkova na úrovni malé obce. Důraz bude kladen na efektivní zapojení místní komunity, spolupráci s veřejným i soukromým sektorem, na inovace k podpoře udržitelného rozvoje, strategie k ochraně životního prostředí. Výsledky této práce by měly sloužit jako inspirace pro projekty zaměřené na obnovu venkovských oblastí a posílení jejich role v celkovém sociálním a ekonomickém kontextu, dále by měly nastínit návrhy strategií a opatření pro zvládání výzev a využívání příležitostí vedoucích k obnově venkova.

Abstract:

The thesis examines the challenges and opportunities associated with the renewal of rural areas, using the specific example of the small village of Lobeč in the Central Bohemian region. The aim of the work is to describe and analyze the factors that contribute to the renewal of rural areas and the development of the municipality of Lobeč. The theoretical part of the work explains the basic concepts such as village, countryside, characterizes rural areas in comparison to the city, defines the term region, describes the importance of regional policy in the context of rural renewal, and the importance of regional development for the sustainable development of rural areas. The practical part of the work is dedicated to assessing the current situation of the Lobeč municipality, approaching its history, identifying key problems, analyzing available data and with the help of interviews and a quantitative questionnaire survey. It aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the opportunities and challenges associated with the process of rural renewal at the small village level. The focus is on effective local community involvement, collaboration with the public and private sectors, innovations to support sustainable development and strategies to protect the environment. The results of this work are intended to serve as inspiration for projects that focus on the renewal of rural areas and strengthening their role in the overall social and economic context, and to outline suggestions for strategies and measures to overcome challenges and exploit opportunities for rural renewal.
