Project and its evaluation

Abstract:

Téma restrukturalizace je v dnešní globalizovaném světě, kdy společnosti rostou do velikosti, velmi aktuální. Bakalářská práce na téma projekt a jeho zhodnocení řešil projekt restrukturalizace nákupu ve společnosti ZAT a.s. Práce byla rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část popsala projektový management, logický rámec projektu, trojimperativ, plán rozsahu projektu (WBS), analýzu přidané hodnoty (EVA), řízení rizik (risk management), metody hodnocení v životním cyklu projektu a benchmarking. V praktické části byly aplikovány poznatky z teoretické části. Prve byl stanoven cíl na úsporu nákladů nákupu materiálu a služeb ve výši 5% a v subdodávkách 10%. Dále byl definován projekt v logickém rámci a navržen plán rozsahu prací s hlavními fázemi plánování, vytvoření strategie a implementace. Plán řízení rizik odhalil 17 hlavních rizik, z nichž některá nadešla. Nezaznamenal jedno kritické, které nastalo. Rizika byla zaznamenána do mapy rizik. Dále byla vytvořena spojitost mezi 7 milníky projektu a s plánem rozsahu prací. Analýzy zjistily, že celkově bylo uspořeno 23 786 000 Kč a cíl byl 28 750 000 Kč. V procentech bylo uspořeno 6.34%, cíl byl 7.67%, celková úspora činila 83% z cílové částky. Analýza přidané hodnoty (EVA) zjistila odchylku nad 1 v první dvou milníkách projektu (do 1.7.2016), která poté byla menší 1 do konce projektu. Project Balanced Scoreboard (PBS) prezentoval úspěšnost projektu na sedmi měřitelných cílech projektu. Dle PBS byla celková úspěšnost 80.42%. Dle benchmarkingu byl projekt úspěšný s celkovou úsporou 6.34% (úspěch v odvětví = nad 5% úspor).

Abstract:

A process of reengineering is in a today globalized world very actual topic, due to rapid companies' growth to its size. The bachelor thesis had a research question "Project and its evaluation" which was focused on the project of reengineering of purchase at ZAT a.s. The work was divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part was presenting project management, LogFrame, Iron triangle, Work Breakdown Structure (WSB), Earned Value Analysis (EVA), Risk Management, Project Balanced Scoreboard (PBS), methods of project evaluation in the life cycle and benchmarking. In the practical part were applied methods from the theoretical part. Firstly, was set a goal to decrease purchasing costs of material and services by 5% and 10% in subcontracted goods. Followingly, the project was defined in the LogFrame and the WBS with main phases of planning, strategy a creation and implementation. The risk management discovered 17 main risks, from which several supervened. However, one critical risk was not discovered but appeared. All discovered risks were registered into the heat map. Moreover, there was established a connection between 7 project milestones and WBS. The evaluation analysis showed the total saved amount of 23,786,000 CZK (ca 887,600 EUR) with a goal of 28,750,000 CZK. In percentage terms, the cost of purchasing was decreased by 6.34% (goal 7.67%). The reached value was at the level of 83% of the aimed value. The EVA analysis discovered variance over 1 in the first two milestones of the project (till 1.7.2016), however, the variance dropped under 1 since then. Afterward, the PBS presented the overall successfulness of the project of reengineering on 7 main project goals which was 80.42%. According to benchmarking the project can be categorized between very successful projects with overall decreased purchasing costs by 6.34%. The level within the industry was set on bounding 5%.
