Cyberbullying and influence on youth

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je popsat a zhodnotit formy, způsoby a specifika a také možnosti prevence kyberšikany a zjistit jaké povědomí má mládež o této hrozbě. V teoretické části je stručné seznámení s daným tématem a jsou zde popsány základní termíny šikana a kyberšikana. V první kapitole je vymezen pojem šikana a následně její příčiny a důsledky. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na kyberšikanu, zde se popisuje význam tohoto termínu, dále potom specifika, prostředky, formy, aktéři, dopady a možné strategie zvládání kyberšikany a následně i prevence kyberšikany. Praktická část má za cíl zjistit, dle anonymních dotazníků, zda se na vybrané střední škole vyskytuje kyberšikana a zda jsou studenti o této problematice dostatečně informováni a v případě výskytu kyberšikany by věděli, jak problém řešit a na koho se obrátit o pomoc a podporu. V závěru bakalářské práce je posouzen význam problému, naplněny stanovené cíle, včetně nástinu dalšího řešení problému, které vychází z teoretické i praktické části práce.

Abstract:

The main object of this thesis is to describe and evaluate forms, specifics and also possible prevention of cyberbullying and to investigate awareness of this threat among the youth. In the theoretical part there are fundamental information about the topic where the terms of bullying and cyberbullying are described. In chapter one, the focus is put on the bullying and it's causes and consequences. Chapter two deals with cyberbullying and it's specifics, forms, impact and possible strategies to handle and prevent incidence of this phenomenon. Experimental part aims at finding out about students' awareness of cyberbullying by means of anonymous survey. This part also address the incidence of the cyberbullying at chosen school and finds whether the students are able to deal with this situatuon or know where to look for help. At the end of the bachelor thesis, the significance of this problem and fulfilling of objective are discussed. Outline of further resolution, which is based on theoretical and experimental part is also included in the last part.
