Motivation of pharmacists for professional education

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je motivace lékárníků k profesnímu vzdělávání. Tato práce má teoreticko - empirický charakter a nabízí pohled na profesní vzdělávání farmaceutů jako na komplexní systém celoživotního vzdělávání, jenž prohlubuje a zvyšuje odbornou kvalifikaci, která je nutná k udržení odborné způsobilosti farmaceuta, po celou dobu výkonu jeho profese. Jsou zde zmíněny podoby a formy typické pro tento typ profesního vzdělávání. První kapitola teoretické části práce představuje a vysvětluje pojmy celoživotní učení a celoživotní vzdělávání dospělých ve formálním, neformálním a informálním vzdělávání. Danou kapitolu uzavírá popis důležitosti vzdělávacích potřeb dospělých, jejich analýza a identifikace. Následující druhá kapitola teoretické části práce popisuje konkrétní formy, metody, podoby vzdělávání farmaceutů, po jejich úspěšném ukončení magisterského studia farmacie. Poslední třetí kapitola práce pojednává o motivech a bariérách ve vzdělávání dospělých. Popisuje vznik, sílu, proměnlivost, prožívání a aktivizaci motivů, které jsou základní podmínkou aktivní účasti ve vzdělávání dospělých. Cílem empirické části této práce je vyhodnotit motivace, bariéry a vzdělávací potřeby farmaceutů v profesním vzdělávání a seznámit se s jejich subjektivním názorem na kvalitu, dostupnost, marketing a význam profesního vzdělávání. Průzkumné šetření má kvalitativní design. Sběr průzkumných dat byl realizován rozhovory s respondentkami, životním příběhem a terénními poznámkami. Průzkumná data byla analyzována narativní cestou a stejně jsou i interpretována. Výsledek průzkumu ukázal, že profesní vzdělávání farmaceutů je velmi dobře organizováno a řízeno a je dostupné všem členům České lékárnické komory, pro něž je vzdělávání povinné. Průzkumným šetřením bylo dále zjištěno, že farmaceuti se svého profesního vzdělávání účastní aktivně a jejich vzdělávání ovlivňuje převážně vnitřní motivace. Jako hlavní vzdělávací potřeba z průzkumu vyplynulo prohlubování a zvyšování odborné kvalifikace. Výše uvedená vlastní průzkumná zjištění jsou v práci diskutována a porovnávána s daty obecně platnými. Celou práci uzavírá doporučení pro edukační praxi a reflexe přípravy a průběhu této bakalářské práce.

Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the motivation of pharmacists for professional education. This thesis has a theoretical - empirical character and offers a view of the professional education of pharmacists as a comprehensive system of lifelong learning, which deepens and enhances the professional qualifications necessary to maintain the professional competence of a pharmacist throughout the course of his profession. The forms and forms typical of this type of vocational education are mentioned here. The first chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis presents and explains the concepts of lifelong learning and lifelong learning of adults in formal, non-formal and informal education. The chapter concludes with a description of the importance of adult educational needs, their analysis and identification. The following second chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis describes the specific forms, methods, forms of education of pharmacists, after their successful completion of a Master's degree in pharmacy. The last third chapter of the thesis deals with motives and barriers in adult education. It describes the emergence, strength, variability, experience and activation of motives, which are an essential condition for active participation in adult education. The aim of the empirical part of this thesis is to evaluate the motivations, barriers and educational needs of pharmacists in professional education and to get acquainted with their subjective opinion on the quality, availability, marketing and importance of professional education. The exploratory survey has a qualitative design. The collection of exploratory data was carried out by interviews with respondents, life story and field notes. The exploratory data was analyzed in a narrative way and is interpreted in the same way. The result of the survey showed that the professional education of pharmacists is very well organized and managed and is available to all members of the Czech Chamber of Pharmacy for whom education is compulsory. Furthermore, the survey found that pharmacists participate actively in their professional education and their education is mainly influenced by internal motivations. The main educational need of the survey resulted in a deepening and increasing of professional qualifications. The above self-exploratory findings are discussed and compared with generally valid data at work. The whole thesis is concluded by a reflection of the preparation and course of this bachelor's thesis and recommendations for educational practice.
