Methods of active learning in teaching humanities at second stage of elementary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou výukových metod v hodinách českého jazyka a dějepisu na druhém stupni základní školy. Práce je složena ze dvou částí, teoretické a empirické. Teoretická část seznamuje s pojmem výuky, s fázemi výuky, cílem, obsahem, managementem a s organizačními formami. Následuje samostatná kapitola učitelovo pojetí výuky. Třetí kapitola se zabývá již samotnými výukovými metodami a čtvrtá kapitola ukazuje využití výukových metod v praxi. V empirické části jsou prezentovány výsledky výzkumu, který byl realizován pomocí zúčastněného pozorování a hloubkového rozhovoru. Výzkum zjišťuje, jaké výukové metody a v jaké míře je využívají učitelé v humanitních předmětech na druhém stupni základní školy. Zjišťuje, jaké metody se učitelům ve výuce osvědčily a jaké nikoliv, také kde učitelé čerpají inspiraci a nové poznatky v oblasti výukových metod.

Abstract:

The master’s thesis deals with the issue of the teaching methods during Czech and history lessons of the second stage of elementary school. The work consists of two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part introduces the term of teaching, the stages of the teaching process, goal, content, management, and its organizational forms. The following chapter copes solely with the teacher’s concept of the teaching. The third chapter deals with individual teaching methods and the fourth chapter shows the use of these methods in practice. The empirical part presents the results of the research conducted using observation and in-depth interview. The research identifies what teaching methods and on what scale are used by the teachers of the humanitarian subjects on the second stage of elementary school. It reveals which methods worked for the teachers and which did not. Also, it identifies where the teacher looks for inspiration and new methods in the field of teaching methods.
