Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou kojenecké úmrtnosti se zaměřením na porodní hmotnost s využitím socio-ekonomických faktorů. Dle zdrojů, v této práci uvedených, kojenecká úmrtnost úzce souvisí s porodní hmotností, proto byl tento ukazatel vybrán. Jednou z testovaných hypotéz je právě vztah porodní hmotnosti a kojenecké úmrtnosti. Další testovanou hypotézou je, zda mezi okresy České republiky existují významné rozdíly ve výši kojenecké úmrtnosti a porodní hmotnosti. Cílem této diplomové práce je identifikovat ty socio-ekonomické faktory, které nejvíce ovlivňují porodní hmotnost a sestavit pomocí nich co nejlepší regresní model. Faktory byly vybrány tak, aby co nejlépe charakterizovaly populaci jednotlivých regionů a udávaly o ní ucelený přehled. Konkrétně se jedná o data z databáze KROK a IS Zemřelí, zveřejňované Českým statistickým úřadem. V práci byla využita data z oficiálních zdrojů české statistiky (Český statistický úřad a Ústav zdravotnických informací a statistiky). Srovnání mezi jednotlivými okresy ČR bylo provedeno nejprve pomocí grafické analýzy, kde bylo zřejmé, že mezi okresy panují značné rozdíly. Pomocí korelační analýzy byl zjišťován vztah porodní hmotnosti a kojenecké úmrtnosti, který byl kvantifikován jako významný s vysokým korelačním koeficientem. Poté bylo přistoupeno k regresní analýze s využitím faktorové analýzy. Do regresní analýzy vstupuje jako závisle proměnná porodní hmotnost. Těmito přístupy byly získány ty socio-ekonomické faktory, které ovlivňují porodní hmotnost nejvíce, čímž byl naplněn cíl této práce. Konkrétně bylo zjištěno, že porodní hmotnost nejvíce závisí na zdravotních faktorech a charakteristice sídla. Dále byla kvantifikována výše jejich vlivu a byl sestaven vhodný model, pomocí kterého se podařilo vysvětlit velkou část variability závisle proměnné – porodní hmotnosti. V závěru práce byly výsledky diskutovány s literaturou.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of infant mortality with a focus on birth weight using socio-economic factors. According to the sources mentioned in this work, infant mortality is closely related to birth weight, so this indicator was chosen. One of the tested hypotheses is the relationship between birth weight and infant mortality. Another hypothesis tested is whether there are significant differences between the districts of the Czech Republic in the amount of infant mortality and birth weight. The aim of this diploma thesis is to identify the socio-economic factors that most affect birth weight and use them to compile the best possible regression model. The factors were chosen to best characterize the population of individual regions and give a comprehensive overview of it. Specifically, these are data from the database KROK and IS Zemřelí, published by the Czech Statistical Office. The thesis used data from official sources of Czech statistics (Czech Statistical Office and the Institute of Health Information and Statistics). The comparison between the individual districts of the Czech Republic was first made using a graphical analysis, where it was clear that there were significant differences between the districts. Using correlation analysis, the relationship between birth weight and infant mortality was determined, which was quantified as significant with a high correlation coefficient. Then, regression analysis was performed using factor analysis. The birth weight enters the regression analysis as a dependent variable. These approaches have obtained the socio-economic factors that affect birth weight the most, thus fulfilling the goal of this work. It has been found that birth weight depends most on health factors and settlement characteristics. Furthermore, the amount of their influence was quantified, and a suitable model was built, which was used to explain a large part of the variability of the dependent variable - birth weight. At the end of the work, the results were discussed with the literature.
