Comparison of Resolution of Conflict Situations before and after basic Police Training

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na komparace a typologii útoků, jejich řešení, případnou přítomnost návykových látek při konfliktních situacích jak mezi občany, tak mezi občany a příslušníky policie, a to před absolvováním výcviku na školním policejním středisku a po jeho ukončení. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části je nastíněna činnost Policie ČR a přiblížení zkoumaného útvaru, dále pak rozdělení a popsání konfliktních situací, jejich znaky a druhy. Okolnosti útoků a návykové látky v konfliktních situacích tvoří samostatnou kapitolu. Dále jsou rozebrány vybrané donucovací prostředky a s nimi spjatá profesní sebeobrana. Praktická část je zaměřena na statistickou analýzu dotazníkových šetření za měsíc červen a říjen a jejich komparaci. Byly provedeny t-testy ke zjištění normality dat, dále t-test grupovací proměnné a na závěr Wilcoxonův test, který měl za úkol porovnat shromážděná data za červen a říjen. Výsledky jsou zpracovány do tabulek a grafů pro lepší přehlednost.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on comparison and typology of attacks, their solving, possible presence of addictive substances in conflict situations not only between citizens, but also between citizens and police officers, and all that before completion of training at police school facility and after its termination. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The activity of Police of the Czech Republic and the clarification of the researched unit is outlined in the theoretical part. Furthermore, it defines the division and description of conflict situations, their features, and kinds. Circumstances of the attacks and the addictive substances in connection with the conflict situations are defined in a separate chapter. Furthermore, selected coercive means and with them associated professional self-defense are discussed. The practical part focuses on statistical analyses of questionnaire survey held in June and October and their comparison. T-tests to determine the normality of the data were conducted, also t-test for grouping variable and finally the Wilcoxon test, which was supposed to compare the collected data from June and October. For better transparency, the results are compiled into tables and graphs.
