Úroveň motivace a závazku vůči organizaci IT pracovníků

Abstract:

Pracovní motivace je podstatným tématem v pracovní a organizační vědě ve všech oborech, včetně Informačních Technologiích, jelikož motivovaní zaměstnanci představují v současné konkurenční ekonomice jednoznačnou výhodu. Cílem této diplomové práce je prozkoumat úroveň motivace a faktory ovlivňující motivace zaměstnanců v oblasti IT a objasnit, zda je jejich motivace ovlivněna kulturou a závazkem k jejich současné organizaci.Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí. Kapitoly jedna, dvě a tři patří do teoretické části práce a jsou věnovány teoretickému základu předem vybrané teorie lidské motivace a tématu organizačního závazku. Teoretická část práce též zahrnuje literární rešerši na toto téma, a tím představuje již existující výzkumy a pomáhá při formulaci oblastí pro současný výzkum.Druhá část práce je věnována empirickému zkoumaní aplikaci témat zmíněných v teoretické části. Tato část se skládá ze sběru dat pomocí kvantitativních a kvalitativních výzkumných přístupů a jejich následného vyhodnocení. V této části je analyzována úroveň motivace účastníků a jsou diskutovány faktory ovlivňující tyto rozdíly. V závěru práce je uvedeno zdůvodnění rozdílů v motivační úrovni jednotlivých účastníků. Tato kapitola představuje osobní názor autora na výsledky výzkumu.

Abstract:

Work motivation is an essential topic in work and organizational science in all the fields, including Information Technology field, since motivated employees represent a definite advantage in today's competitive economy. This thesis aims to gain insights into motivation level and factors influencing motivation of employees in IT field and to reveal if their motivation is influenced by culture and commitment to their current organization. The thesis is divided into two major parts. Chapters one, two and three belong to the theoretical part of the thesis and are dedicated to the theoretical background on the previously selected theory of human motivation and on the topic of organizational commitment. The theoretical part of the thesis also includes a literature review on the topic and by that presents the already existing researches and helps to formulate areas for the current research.The second part of the thesis is dedicated to the empirical inquiry concerning previously mentioned topics. This part consists of collecting data by means of quantitative and qualitative research approaches and its subsequent evaluation. Participants’ motivation level is analyzed in this part and the factors influencing those differences are discussed. At the end of the thesis the reasoning behind the differences in motivation level for particular participants is presented. This chapter introduces the author’s personal reflection on the findings of the research.
