Abstract:
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the environmental impacts of cryptocurrency mining, with an emphasis on energy consumption and carbon footprint, especially for the Proof of Work (PoW) mechanism used by the most famous and successful cryptocurrency Bitcoin.
