Activation Programs from the Perspective of Social Service Workers in Homes for Elderly in the Zlín Region

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou tvorby a realizace aktivizačních programů v domovech pro seniory. Čtenáře seznamuje s psychologií stáří a stárnutí a vymezuje periodizaci stáří. Popisuje biologické, psychické a sociální změny, se kterými se senioři během této životní etapy potýkají. Dále podává ucelený přehled o aktivizačních programech. Popisuje domovy pro seniory jakožto jednu z pobytových služeb sociální péče. Definuje profesi pracovníka v sociálních službách, popisuje požadavky, kompetence a náplň práce. Empirická část poté zkoumá prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu proces tvorby a realizace aktivizačních programů v domovech pro seniory ve Zlínském kraji a to pohledem pracovníků v sociálních službách.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with problems of creation and implementation of activation programs in homes for elderly. The theoretical part introduces the reader into the psycholo-gy of old age and aging, furthermore it defines the age periodization. The thesis describes the biological, mental and social changes which senior must face during this life period. This thesis also provides compacted overview of activation programs. Homes for elderly are shown one of the accommodation services of social care system. It defines the profession of worker in social services and describes requirements, competences and job description of this profession. The empirical part later looks into the process of formation and implementation of activation programs in homes for elderly in Zlin region through qualitative research from the perspective of workers in social services.
