Abstract:

Tato magisterská diplomová práce si klade za cíl věnovat se product placementu (PP) v audiovizuálním díle, konkrétně v televizních pořadech a seriálech. Pokusí se zmapovat, jak vzniká a probíhá spolupráce mezi jednotlivými segmenty v procesu umístění produk-tu, jaké jim z toho plynou benefity, v čem vidí úskalí a jaká případně navrhují řešení. Další z výzkumných otázek se zabývá tím, jak v rámci České republiky s PP pracují jed-notlivé televizní stanice. Zda využívají stejných možností, jaké mají finanční podmínky pro zadavatele produktu či služby, zda spolupracují opakovaně s některými firmami apod. V neposlední řadě se práce zaměří na srovnání předních českých televizních stanic a je-jich práci s PP s ohledem na sankce udělované Radou pro rozhlasové a televizní vysílání. Práce přispěje k ucelení představy o využití PP v televizní tvorbě, jeho možnostech či omezeních a přiblíží, jakým způsobem je práce Rady efektivní a zda je tu prostor pro ně-jaká zlepšení. Zvolených cílů bude dosaženo pomocí heuristického výzkumu, empirické a komparativní analýzy, kvalitativního a kvantitativního výzkumu a metod orální historie.

Abstract:

This master's thesis aims to focus on product placement (PP) in audiovisual work, speci-fically in TV shows and series. It will try to describe how the cooperation among the in-dividual segments in the product placement process arises and works, how they benefit from it, what they see as pitfalls and what solutions they (potentially) propose. Another of the research questions looks at how individual TV stations work with PP in the Czech Republic. Whether they use the same possibilities, what financial conditions they have for the product or service submitters, whether they cooperate with some companies repe-atedly, etc. Last but not least, the thesis will focus on comparing leading Czech television stations and their use of PP, with regard to sanctions granted by the Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting. The thesis will contribute to better understanding of use of PP in TV production, its possibilities and limitations, and will evaluate the effectiveness of the Council's work and possible room for improvement. The selected goals will be achie-ved through heuristic research, empirical and comparative analysis, qualitative and quan-titative research and methods of oral history.
