Activity of an independent insurance agent focusing on business risk insurance

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na činnost samostatného pojišťovacího zprostředkovatele, kde je kladen hlavní důraz zejména na oblast průmyslového pojištění. V práci je okrajově zmíněn historický vývoj pojišťovnictví. Zabývá se legislativou týkající se zprostředkovatelské činnosti a legislativou s ní související. Dále je zde z pozice samostatného zprostředkovatele detailněji charakterizován celý proces jednotlivých činností, který se váže na sjednávání a správu průmyslového pojištění. Poté následuje modelový příklad z praxe, na kterém jsou uvedeny požadavky zákazníka na rozsah pojištění. Na základě reálných možností pojistného trhu je vytvořena nabídka na pojištění u vybraných pojistitelů a následně vyhodnoceny výsledky výběrového řízení. Součástí modelového příkladu je i popis ostatních činností, které se celého procesu týkají. V závěrečné části práce je diskuze nad porovnáním požadavků zákazníka na pojistnou ochranu s nově nastaveným pojištěním Nakonec je zmíněn aktuální vývoj pojistného trhu se zamyšlením nad jeho budoucností.

Abstract:

This Bachelor’s thesis focuses on the activity of an independent insurance agent with a special emphasis placed on industrial insurance. The thesis also marginally mentions the historical development of insurance. It deals with legal regulations stipulating insurance agent’s activities and related legislation. It further in detail characterises the entire process of individual activities pertaining to arranging of insurance and industrial insurance administration from the point of view of an independent insurance agent. The following section depicts a real-world model example describing the customer’s requirements for the scope of insurance. Based on real options available on the insurance market, an insurance offer with selected insurers is made and the results of the selection procedure are subsequently assessed. The model example also includes the description of other activities of which the said process is comprised. To conclude, the thesis presents a debate over customer’s requirements for insurance coverage compared with a newly established insurance. At the end, the current development of the insurance market is addressed, also reflecting its future.
