Sgraffito of Karel Nemec in Nove Město na Morave

Abstract:

Rodiště malíře a grafika Karla Němce Nové Město na Moravě se jako jedno z mála měst může pyšnit neobvyklou galerií pod širým nebem. Jsou zde k vidění trochu opomíjené sgrafitové práce, tvořící kdysi daleko větší soubor. Právě tomuto problému se věnuje práce s názvem Sgrafita Karla Němce v Novém Městě na Moravě. Úvod je zaměřen na životní pouť, která ovlivnila Němcovu tvorbu i výběr témat. Pojednává o vášni ke grafice, jejímž vyústěním byl přechod na technicky náročnější techniku tzv. nepravého sgrafita. Další dvě třetiny práce se zabývají existující i nedochovanou výzdobou městských a historických budov. Mapují a dokládají celkem 26 znázornění, kterými Němec své rodiště vyzdobil. Řazení děl je chronologické a snaží se uvést každý výjev do širších souvislostí z hlediska původu, námětu a technického provedení. Závěr je poté věnován myšlence rozvíjet zájem o tohoto umělce a jeho dílo.

Abstract:

Nove Mesto na Morave, the birthpace of painter and graphic designer Karel Nemec, is one of a few towns, which could take pride in an ussual gallery under the sky. There could be seen a slightly neglected sgraffito work, which used to create much bigger collection at one time . This problem is presented in elaboration named „Sgraffito of Karel Nemec in Nove Město na Morave“. The introduction is focused on a pilgrim, which influenced Nemecś production and themes selection. It dissertates about his passion to the graphic, which led in a transition to the more demanding technique so called fictitous sgraffito. The rest of disseration consider either existing or damaged ornamentation of town historical buildings. It maps and ilustrates all together 26 symbolizations, which Nemec decorated the town. The productions are in chronological order and they are trying to present each scene in wide context in aspect of origin, theme and technique performace. The conclusion is dedicated to an idea to engage an interest about this artist and his production.
