Communication skills in children growing up in bilingual environment

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou komunikační schopnosti u dětí vyrůstajících v bilingvním prostředí. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část výzkumnou. Teoretická část zahrnuje tři kapitoly. První se zabývá problematikou komunikační schopnosti, vymezuje základní pojmy, charakterizuje pojmy řeč a jazyk a narušenou komunikační schopnost. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na ontogenezi řeči u dítěte. Věnuje se charakteristice jednotlivých období vývoje řeči, poté se zabývá jazykovými rovinami a faktory, které mohou vývoj řeči ovlivňovat. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena na problematiku bilingvismu. Výzkumná část zahrnuje metodologii výzkumného šetření a charakteristiku výzkumného vzorku a vlastní výzkumné šetření. Pro výzkumný projekt byla zvolena metoda kvantitativní a to nestandardizovaný dotazník vlastní konstrukce. Na základě zpracování výsledků z výzkumného šetření byly zodpovězeny vytyčené hypotézy a dílčí cíle.

Abstract:

This dissertation deals with communication skills of children growing up in a bilingual environment. The work is divided into theoretical and research part. The theoretical part includes three chapters. The first deals with problems of communication skills, define basic concepts, characterize the term as speech and language and communication disorder. The second chapter focuses on the ontogenesis of speech in the child. It deals with the characteristics of each period of language development then with the language levels and factors that may affect the development of speech. The third chapter is focused on bilingualism problems. The research part includes the methodology of research survey and the characteristics of the research sample and its own research survey. Quantitative method and standardized questionnaire of my own design were chosen for this research project. Predetermined hypothesis and separate targets were answered based on the processing of the research results.
