Diplomová práce se zabývá možnostmi využití historie matematiky ve vyučování matematice na 1. stupni základní školy. Využití námětů z historie matematiky může vést ke zvyšování zájmu žáků o matematiku. V teoretické části je popsána historie matematiky starověkého Egypta, středoamerických Mayů, středověké Evropy, hebrejského záznamu čísel a starověkého Říma. Abstract:
The thesis looks into the possibilities of the history of mathematics in teaching mathematics at primary school. The use of themes from history of mathematics can lead to increase students' interest in math. Theoretical section describes history of mathematics of ancient Egypt, medieval Europe, ancient Rome, Mayas in Central America and hebrew records of numbers.
