Perception of the role of teaching assistant in pupils with special educational needs through the eyes of the parental public

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zmapovat a analyzovat roli asistenta pedagoga očima rodičovské veřejnosti, včetně popisu, jaké povědomí mají rodiče o práci asistenta pedagoga, co od něj očekávají a jaké mají nároky pro práci asistenta pedagoga. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na základní pojmy, legislativní rámec, kvalifikační a osobnostní předpoklady. Dále jsou v teoretické části přiblíženy pojmy integrace, inkluze a speciálně vzdělávací potřeby. V praktické části je využito kvantitativního výzkumu, metody dotazníku, který se zaměřuje na otázky týkající se náplně práce asistenta pedagoga, jeho kompetencí, jak vnímají roli asistenta pedagoga na základní škole rodiče a co od něj v rámci edukačního procesu očekávají. Dále je v praktické části provedena analýza a interpretace dat získaných z dotazníkového šetření určeného pro rodiče žáků základních škol.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis aims to map and analyse the role of the teaching assistant from the parental perspective, including a description of parents' awareness of the teaching assistant's work, their expectations, and demands for the teaching assistant's work. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on basic concepts, legislative framework, qualifications, and personality prerequisites. Concepts of integration, inclusion and special educational needs are clarified in the theoretical part. The practical part uses quantitative research, the method of a questionnaire that focuses on questions about the job description of the teaching assistant, her competence, how is the role of the teaching assistant perceived at the primary school by parents, and what they expect from her in the educational process. In this part of the thesis, the data obtained from the parental questionnaire survey are analysed and interpreted.
