The subject of this diploma thesis is a use of a joke text type in German language teaching. The theoretical part clarifies the joke text type and his specifics. Furthermore, it deals with development of four language skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) and with typology of exercises. Tato diplomová práce pojednává o využití vtipu ve výuce německého jazyka. Teoretická část je věnována vymezení vtipu jako textového žánru. Tato část se dále zabývá rozvojem čtyř řečových dovedností (poslech, čtení, psaní, mluvení) a typologií cvičení. Těžiště praktické části spočívá v návrzích jednotlivých cvičení vycházejících z vtipů.
