Motivation to study with high school students and apprentices in apprenticeships

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zjišťuje a porovnává motivaci žáků ke studiu v učňovských a maturitním oboru na Střední škole elektrotechnické. Teoretická část je věnována termínům motivace, školní a výkonová motivace. V empirické části jsou zpracovány informace vyplývající z dotazníkového šetření, kdy byly zjišťovány u žáků 4. ročníku maturitního, žáků 3. a 1. ročníku učebního a u žáků 2. ročníku nástavbového studia druhy motivace ke studiu a sice, zda převažuje motivace k úspěšnému výkonu, nebo vyhnutí se neúspěchu. Zjišťovala jsem, zda a jak se tyto tři skupiny od sebe, co do významu zmíněných druhů motivací, liší.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis investigates and compares the motivation of students to study in apprenticeship and matriculation courses at the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering. The theoretical part is devoted to the terms motivation, school motivation and performance motivation. In the empirical part, the information resulting from a questionnaire survey is elaborated, where the types of motivation to study were investigated among pupils of the 4th year of the final year, pupils of the 3rd and 1st year of the apprenticeship and pupils of the 2nd year of the extension studies, namely whether the motivation to perform successfully or to avoid failure prevails. I investigated whether and how these three groups differ from each other in terms of the importance of the mentioned types of motivation.
