V současné době obor výstavnictví stejně jako celá ekonomika čelí celosvětové finanční a ekonomické krizi. Organizátoři veletrhů se tak děsí masivního úbytku vystavovatelů z důvodů škrtů výdajů na propagaci, a tím i odmítnutí účastí na veletrzích.
