Financial Analysis of a company

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce je zhodnocení finanční situace společnosti EXTE SPOJ, s. r. o. Tato společnost se zabývá výrobou kovového spotřebního zboží, specializovaným velkoobchodem a maloobchodem. Cílem práce je finanční analýza za období 2008 až 2012 a následná predikce budoucího vývoje této společnosti. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na dvě hlavní části. V první části, teoretické, je popsán účel finanční analýzy, její uživatelé a různé metody finanční analýzy. V aplikační části bakalářské práce je nejprve představena analyzovaná firma a poté jsou na tuto firmu aplikovány metody finanční analýzy popsané v teoretické části. Mezi tyto metody patří vertikální a horizontální analýza účetních výkazů, analýza pracovního kapitálu, výpočet ekonomické přidané hodnot EVA, výpočet poměrových ukazatelů (ukazatele rentability, aktivity, zadluženosti a likvidity), Du Pontův model a souhrnné ukazatele. Mezi souhrnné ukazatele použité v této práci patří Altmanův model, Index IN, Kralickův Quicktest a soustava bilančních ukazatelů podle Rudolfa Douchy. Nedílnou součástí aplikační část je diskuze výsledků a návrhy opatření.

Abstract:

The subject of bachelor thesis is evaluation the financial situation of the company EXTE SPOJ, Ltd. The company is engaged in the production of metal consumer goods and specialized wholesale and retail. The aim of the thesis is financial analysis for the years from 2008 – 2012 and subsequent forecast of the future development of the company. The bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. In the first part, theoretical, is described the purpose of financial analysis, its users and the various methods of financial analysis. In the practical part of the thesis is at first introduces the chosen company and then are applied to this company methods of financial analysis described in the theoretical part. These methods include vertical and horizontal analysis of financial statements, analysis of working capital, calculation of Economic Added Value EVA, calculation of financial ratios (profitability, activity, indebtedness, and liquidity), Du Pont model and summary indicators. Summary indicators include Altman model, Index IN, Kralick’s Quicktest and system of balance indicators by Rudolf Doucha. Inseparable part of the bachelor thesis is the discussion of the results and proposals for measures.
