The influence of Google Optimize on the conversion rate

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá optimalizací webových stránek. Popisuje hlavní pojmy z oblasti webové analytiky a vysvětluje přístupy ke sběru a analýze dat. V práci je uveden doporučený postup pro tvorbu optimalizačních testů včetně celého životního cyklu těchto testů. Hlavním cílem této práce je kvantifikovat dopady jednotlivých implementací A/B testů vytvořených pomocí nástroje Google Optimize na konverzním poměru. Tohoto cíle je dosaženo porovnáním všech dostupných implementací nástroje Google Optimize na několika webových stránkách a internetových obchodech, kde byly vytvořeny jednotlivé experimenty. Tyto experimenty jsou porovnávány na základě několika metrik, které v sobě zahrnují jak rychlost načtení stránky, tak interakci uživatele, konverzní poměr a časovou náročnost celé implementace. Pro ověření, zda tyto metriky ovlivňují konverzní poměr bylo využito lineární regrese. V práci je dále popsáno propojení nástrojů Google Optimize a Google Analytics.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with website optimization. It describes the main concepts of web analytics and explains approaches to data collection and analysis. The paper presents a recommended procedure for creating optimization tests, including the whole life cycle of these tests. The main goal of this work is to quantify the impacts of individual implementations of A / B tests created with the Google Optimize tool on the conversion rate. This goal is achieved by comparing all available Google Optimize implementations across multiple websites and online stores where individual experiments have been created. These experiments are compared on the basis of five metrics, which include both page load time and user interaction, conversion rate, and implementation time. Linear regression was used to verify that these metrics affect the conversion rate. The work also describes the connection of Google Optimize and Google Analytics.
